Ferreira’s family has been in the shoe business since 1.961 at the city of Franca, interior of the state of Sao Paulo. Capital of the men’s shoe industry in Brazil!
At that time, Mr. Washington Ferreira Coelho, together with his son, Mr. Washington Ferraira Filho, initiated with handcrafted products, even using recyclable tire soles. The first factory was named Calçados Washington and was the beginning of the shoe industry in the region.
The products got better and better and the factory more modern and in 1.978 the exports began mainly to the American market and to the top brands of the time.
On 1.992 the Radamés brand was registered. It was the consolidation of the brand and company. From 2.002 on, the factory was called Radamés Artefatos de Couro Ltda. And in 2.003 the exports were expanded to different countries in the world. Today the factory sells to more than 20 countries in five different continents. At the same time, the domestic market knew the company and nowadays sells to the main customers.
Today, the company is also managed by Mr. Caio Borges Ferreira, third generation of the family, who is “passionate about shoes”. The company is very solid and efficient and totally linked to the world fashion trends. Has straight contact with the pattern makers and Italian designers. The focus is to always innovate but always preserving the craftsmanship, still handcrafting the shoes.
