Brazilian footwear brands supported by Brazilian Footwear, a program to support exports in the sector maintained by Abicalçados in partnership with the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), are packing their bags ready to participate in events in Italy and Colombia.

The first stop will be at Expo Riva Schuh, in Riva del Garda/Italy, between the 11th and 14th of January 2025. Participating in the event, with the support of Brazilian Footwear, are 41 Brazilian footwear brands. The Business Coordinator of Abicalçados, Paola Pontin, points out that the internationalization of the fair is a lure for national brands. "In the most recent edition, buyers from 80 countries passed through the Brazilian stands. It is one of the most internationalized initiatives we have in the scope of Brazilian Footwear”, she points out. According to her, the fact of opening the international calendar in 2025 is another attraction for national companies that want to expand their exports throughout the year, since business does not only take place on site, but throughout the semester.

Taking place twice a year, Expo Riva Schuh welcomes around 1.3 thousand exhibitors from 40 countries with each edition. In the most recent edition, the Italian fair registered the participation of more than 9 thousand buyers from around 100 countries, most from Europe, but also the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Participating in the Italian fair, with the support of Brazilian Footwear, the brands Actvitta, Ala, Andacco, Arezzo, Awana Group, AXG Export, Azaleia, Beira Rio, Bibi, Boaonda, BR Sport, Capelli Rossi, Cartago, Comfortflex, Copacabana, Democrata, Grendha, GVD International, Jorge Bischoff, Klin, Levecomfort, Leveterapia, Loucos & Santos, Madeira Brasil, Modare Ultraconforto, Moleca, Molekinha, Molekinho, Pampili, Petite Jolie, Piccadilly, Polo Go, Ramarim, Schutz, Stéphanie Classic, Tweenie, Valentina, Vizzano, Werner, Zatz and Zaxy.

Colombia

The second stop will be in Colombia, in the traditional Trade Mission. The initiative, also supported by Brazilian Footwear, will take place between January 20th and 22nd, 2025, in Bogotá. The Mission, as usual, will have a preparatory seminar for participating brands on December 4th this year, in online format. In the opportunity, experts from the local market will talk about characteristics and opportunities for expanding the participation of Brazilian companies.

Carla Giordani, from Abicalçados' Business Area, says that the mission will have business rounds held between Brazilian companies and Colombian buyers selected via the matchmaking process, which crosses supply with market demand, in addition to a relationship action with the local press - Photocall.
